Canines

K9 Dex is a 7 year old Dutch Shepard/Mallinois born in the Netherlands.  He began his career at Napa PD with Officer Muratori.  After a promotion in 2021, Dex was then united with his current handler, Officer Meyer.  Dex is a tenacious worker, loves to bark, and is certified in patrol and detection.  These include apprehending suspects and locating narcotics. Dex enjoys his family, which includes 4 chickens and a great dane little brother and chasing a ball on his off days.

K9 Chef is a 3 year old Dutch Shepard/Malinois born in the Netherlands. It is believed that K9 Dex and K9 Chef are from the same bloodline.  He began his career at Napa PD in 2023 with Officer Garrett Wade. Chef is an energetic K9 who loves running and swimming.  He is certified in patrol in locating and apprehending suspects. Chef also has a new little brother, 6 month old black lab who he enjoys spending time with.

K9 Mike is a Czech Malinois.  He was assigned to patrol in October 2017 with Officer Oros.  K9 Mike worked patrol on graveyard, swing shift, and dayshift.  During that time Mike assisted SEU, NSIB, as well as SWAT with numerous apprehensions, criminal surrenders, searches, narcotics seizures, and critical incidents.  After 5 1/2 years, K9 Mike retired in April 2023 to live out his days with Officer Oros and his family.  He now enjoys endless naps, walks, and playing ball at the park.  Mike worked very hard, lost several teeth along the way, got stitches, scrapes, and cuts.
